Digitalizing the donation process

Good Friday Appeal is an annual fundraising event held by the Melbourne Royal Children’s Hospital since 1931. Unfortunately the younger generation weren’t as involved, so in response we created a “virtual collection tin” Facebook donation app with its own secure inbuilt payment gateway.

Illustrating the infamous can

As a tribute to the traditional can donation collection method, I illustrated and recreated the infamous tin can for main branding. The image of Isla, poster child of the year, was also added to introduce a human element.

Reaching out to further audiences

The app was also installable on any brand managed Facebook pages to further help amplify audience reach and spread awareness.

The Results

• 43 app installations by high profile pages including AFL, Victoria Police, and The Herald Sun
• $17,046 collected through the app in total
• +20.8% Facebook fan growth
